SAGE currently manages and is involved in a number of programs and initiatives in order to bring resources to the Eastside. These include the Store-Front Grant Program, spearheading efforts of the Government Hill Neighborhood Revitalization project and the Friedrich Building Initiative. Sage Store-Front Grant Program

The SAGE Store-Front Grant Program can provide qualified businesses an opportunity to improve their businesses with matching grants of up to $20,000. The Store-Front Grant Program is a Matching Grant Program in which grants must be matched dollar for dollar by the business owner. Store-Front Grants are only given to business owners who own their property. Apply for a Store Front Grant here (PDF). Applicant Requirements include:

  • Complete SAGE Store-Front Grant Application
  • Provide a project budget and task list
  • Provide proof of availability of matching funds
  • Project must be approved and permitted by proper governmental authorities

Use of Grant

  • The first $10,000 of any grant must be spent on façade improvement projects.
  • Any amounts more than $10,000 may be spent on these types of projects:
    • Interior Renovations
    • Equipment Upgrades
    • Technology Upgrades
